आवृत्तिः सर्वशास्त्राणां बोधादपि गरीयसी ।आचारः सर्वविद्यानां गरीयान् पठनादपि ॥--नित्यनीतिः १०८

Repeated reciting of all the shastras is greater than (their) understanding. Practicing is greater than (mere) recitation of all knowledge. This only highlights the power of repetition. Understanding has its own importance. But by repetition, the whole shastra is learnt by heart.
